Primary School Incursions

We visit your classroom for this unique experience as students step into the fascinating world of bees, discovering in a fun way why bees are important to our environment and the food we eat

    • Native Bees

    • Lifecycle of a honeybee

    • How bees create their delicious honey

    • Pollination Powers & Connection to Food

    • Hands on equipment, educational games, beeswax and honeycomb

    • Queenspotting Game

    • Virtual Video - Lifting the lid on 50,000 bees

    Incursions are linked to the Australian curriculum (P - 6)

  • We visit schools in Melbourne, Surf Coast, Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong

  • Length - 1 hour

    Cost - $12 per student + GST

    Min - 20 students / Max - 35 students

  • We hold current public liability insurance, working with children checks and a covid safe plan

    * Note: Due to allergy risks, no bees or honey will be brought to the Incursion. Separate educational equipment is used to deliver incursions

  • These are an optional extra offering for teachers to facilitate after the incursion. They are a great accompaniment to the incursion & a take home item for students to continue the learning at home

Early Learning Centres

We visit your centre for an introduction into the buzzing & exciting world of bees. Using a variety of hands on materials & educational games, students will explore new learnings about bees, honey &
the fascinating QUEEN BEE!

Secondary School Workshops

Engage your senses in this interactive & educational workshop about bees & the gentle art of beekeeping. Students will learn how honey is harvested , the current impacts facing bees and why bees are vital to our environment.

Including a honey tasting & hand rolling a beeswax candle to take home
